Who is the Captain?
Capt. Hal Lewis grew up along the coast of South Carolina and has fished the waters off Murrells Inlet for the past 25 years. He has been licensed with the USCG since 1989 to carry passengers for hire. It is his goal to make your trip not only enjoyable but also safe.
What about bad weather?
The captain will discuss the weather conditions and forecast before embarking on the trip. If the weather is not suitable, the charter can be cancelled or changed to another day.
What is the best time of year to fish?
The waters off of Murrells Inlet offer good fishing from April through December. In April, May and June we catch mostly Tuna, Dolphin, Wahoo, Marlin, and Sailfish. As the summer heats up in July and August, we still catch Tuna, Dolphin and Wahoo, but Sailfish and King Mackerel are more plentiful. From September through December, the fish return as the waters cool. All of the above fish can be caught, but Wahoo, Tuna, and Sailfish are more plentiful.
Where is the boat docked?
The boat is docked at a private residence near the point of Garden City Beach just 5 minutes from the ocean. Contact Capt. Hal at (843)222-0284 for directions.
What time do we need to arrive at the dock?
It's best to arrive thirty minutes prior to departure time to allow for loading and other miscellaneous activities that take away from our fishing time.
What do we need to bring?
*Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, jacket, boat shoes. (No hard or black-soled shoes.)
*Food and drink. No bottles. (Beer is permitted, liquor is not. No bottles.)
*Camera and/or video camera
*Cooler to take home fish. (Leave in your car or on the dock and fill it upon return.)

All licenses, bait, tackle, and ice are included in the price of your charter.
